Rufus H. Lamb Jr.

Rufus H. Lamb, Jr., 88 of Tillman, SC and husband of Mary Mingledorff Lamb passed away on December 14, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Lamb was born in Hampton, SC on May 20, 1932 to the late Rufus H. Lamb Sr. and Laura Bell Broxton Lamb.

Mr. Lamb was a retired Master Sergeant and US veteran of Korea.  He was a retired Engineer with the South Carolina Highway Department.  He was a member and Deacon of the Tillman Baptist Church and led the congregational music.  He was a member and past master of the American Masonic Lodge #98.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by two sons, David R. Lamb (Tammy) of Bluffton and Gregory P. Lamb of Landrum, SC; his daughter, Sherry Lamb of Ft. Worth, Texas; his grandchildren, Kyle, Bradley, Christopher, Zachary, Benjamin and Trey; and two great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Miles L. Lamb and William David Lamb.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Floyd Cemetery, Tillman, SC until the hour of the graveside service at 2:00 pm.
