Russell Reynolds Obituary

Russell Ellsworth Reynolds, aged 86, died in Hilton Head, South Carolina on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 after a prolonged illness.

Born in Rockport, MA on July 30, 1933, he was the son of Florence Gaudette and John Perry. Russell was the youngest of five siblings. He was married 64 years to Joanne Marie LeBlanc. Russell earned an Associate Degree from the Institute of Technology in Chicago and was a business leader and part owner in the automotive and defense contracting industries in New England until his retirement in 1995 to Hilton Head, SC. Russell was a US Navy veteran, serving from 1951 -1954 during the Korean War. He lived in Rockport, MA, Amesbury, MA, Salisbury, MA, and Hilton Head, SC. An avid golfer, he shot his age 644 times and made over ten holes in one. He also enjoyed bowling and fishing, but enjoyed being with family and friends the most.

Beloved by all who knew him for his kindness and generosity, Russell is survived by his wife Joanne of Hilton Head, daughter-in-law Linda King of Ashfield, MA, son Michael and wife Tiffany of Kernersville, NC, son John and wife Holly of Salisbury, MA, granddaughter Heather, her husband Todd and great-granddaughter Emilia of Hatfield, MA, granddaughter Jessica, her husband Jeremy, great grandson Jameson and great granddaughter Jane of Hatfield, MA, grandson Barrett, his wife Annie, great grandson Jackson, great granddaughter Harper, and great granddaughter Ella of Clifton, VA, granddaughter Caroline, her husband Taylor, great grandson Henry and Great granddaughter Davis of Charlotte, NC, grandson Perry and wife Sara of Amesbury, MA, and granddaughter Julia of Boston, MA. He was preceded in death by his son, Russell Reynolds Jr.; three sisters, Leah Perry, Pauline Adams, and Doris Reynolds; and one brother, Donald Reynolds.

A memorial mass will  be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:30 am at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton, SC. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society. The measure of a man rests in his service and love for God, family, and friends; Russell’s cup overflowed.
