In Loving Memory of Sandra Lea Friedman
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a truly vibrant and unique lady, Sandra Lea Friedman, who departed this world on October 28, 2023, at the age of eighty-two. She was a beloved wife, a cherished mother, and deeply loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Sandra Lea Friedman was a woman whose zest for life was infectious. She lived her 82 years to the fullest, radiating a joy that touched everyone around her. Her enthusiasm for life was boundless, and her vivacious spirit remained undiminished throughout the years.
Born on October 27, 1941, to Betty Jane Bunner and Raymond Harrison, she grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She exemplified hard work, and resilience and was straightforward while also believing in having fun. These qualities would shape her character and serve as an example to her family and friends. She was a strong, compassionate woman who faced challenges with determination.
In 55 years of marriage, she enjoyed her life with her beloved husband, Howard, with whom she shared a journey filled with love and devotion. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love, and their partnership was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Sandra Lea Friedman was also a loving mother to her two daughters, Lisa Marie Temple and Marci Lynn Daugherty. She instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience, and the importance of cherishing family. Her daughters were not just her children but her dear friends, and her love for them was immeasurable.
Throughout her life, Sandra Lea Friedman found joy in simple pleasures, Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, and any chocolate! Her home was a sanctuary of love and laughter, where cherished memories were made.
Sandra Lea Friedman also had a passion for movies, game shows, Bengal’s football, cards, and Mah Jongg which she will be forever remembered. Her enthusiasm for these activities was infectious, and she could bring up the spirit to any room. She was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. Her friends and family could rely on her unwavering support for being “The Rock” and her presence brightened the lives of all who knew her.
Sandra's vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of her husband, Howard, her daughters, Lisa and Marci, and all those who had the privilege of sharing in her life. While we mourn her passing, we celebrate her beautiful legacy, reminding us to live with joy, love, and purpose.
A celebration of life service to honor the life of Sandra Lea Friedman will be held on November 11th from noon to 3pm EST at 146 Lancaster Blvd. Bluffton, SC 29909. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in her memory be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind which is a tribute to her love of dogs, www.guidingeyes.org
As we say our final farewell to this remarkable lady, we remember her with love and gratitude. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, and her memory will forever be a source of inspiration and comfort.
