Sandra Elaine Fuhrman

Sandra Elaine Locklar Fuhrman, of Bluffton and widow of Michael Fuhrman went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 5, 2020 at Coastal Carolina Hospital.

Mrs. Fuhrman was born in Columbus, Ga on January 19, 1943 to the late James Jernigan Locklar and Helen Louise Locklar.  She was preceded in death by her grandson Khrystian Fuhrman; brothers James Locklar and Robert Raley and stepson James Fuhrman.

Sandra started out her administrative career at JC Penny.  She retired from Johnson and Johnson after 20+ years of service as a marketing coordinator in the Consumer Product Worldwide division.  Sandra and Mike moved from Skillman, NJ to a long awaited retirement in Bluffton in 2004, where they immensely enjoyed life and making so many new friends.  Sandy, as she was affectionately known by loving friends and family, continued using her amazing administrative skills in numerous clubs in the community.  She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, book club, and luncheons.  Sandy was an avid fan of the theater and showed off her skills in several community plays and musicals.

Mrs. Fuhrman is survived by her sons, Todd (Dawn) Fuhrman of Bethlehem, PA and Jeffrey Poje of Bluffton, SC; stepchildren Carol Hoch of Harleysville, PA, Steve (Christine) Fuhrman of Voorhees, NJ and Karen(Jason) Fuhrman-Heartfields of Royersford, PA; grandchildren: Nick, Heather, Jacob, Lauren, Andrew, Kodi, Alivia, Forrest and Phoenix.

Sister, Rose Anne (Dave) Erickson of Cataula, Ga; Brothers, Charles Raley of Midland, Ga and David (Donna) Raley of Dallas, Ga. Many other friends and family.

Private family services will be held.
