Sarah P. Lee

Sarah P. Lee entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Sarah was born to Herbert and Agnes (Frazier) Pinckney in the county of Jasper, town of Pineland, SC on March 6, 1952.

Sarah was educated in the Jasper County School System. Upon graduating, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts where she was employed by AT&T (Mabelle) for many years. Sarah later returned home and married her high school sweetheart, Samuel Lee.

Sarah joined the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church at an early age and became very active in church. A member of the choir, Sarah loved to sing praises unto the Lord. Sarah was also a Class Leader and Missionary.

Preceding Sarah in death were her loving parents, Herbert and Agnes Pinckney, a loving sister, Lucy Reid, an older brother, Herbert Pinckney, Jr., a second older brother, James A. Pinckney, and a sister-in-law, Sandy L. Pinckney.

Sarah leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Samuel Lee; son, Adrian (Constance) Pinckney; stepdaughter, Taliah Jabar; two grandsons, Xavier and Marcus Pinckney; her siblings, Jannie Pinckney, Cathleen Pinckney, Randolph (Mildred) Pinckney, all of Pineland; Shirley (James) Butler of East Orange, NJ, and Sharon Grace of Boston, MA; one sister-in-law, Mercidene Pinckney; one brother-in-law, Amos Reid; and an aunt, Gladys Frazier. Sarah also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Mt. Zion AME Church cemetery, 1216 Blake Swamp Dr., Garnett, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service.
