W. Scott  Rogers Obituary

Scott Rogers, originally from Atlanta and for the past 14 years residing in Bluffton ,SC., passed away on February 25, 2022 after a long battle with brain cancer.  He was a commercial real estate broker in the Atlanta, Jacksonville and Charleston areas and ended his career working for CBRE Capital Markets.  He truly loved what he did and was so thankful to be working with this firm.

Scott was a member of The Church Of The Cross, and involved in growing Financial Peace University, where he taught debt-free living.  He was very involved in Young Life, a non-denominational ministry for unchurched high school kids.  Young Life changed his life and had a special place in his heart.  He loved playing golf.  He was most proud of his two granddaughters for what they have accomplished and for their hearts and spirits.

Scott is survived by his wife Merrelyn Rogers, stepdaughter Tyree McDowell, future son-in-law Todd Davis, granddaughters Ellie and Ava McDowell, his mother Martha Hawkins and stepfather Ingram Hawkins, brothers Richard and Larry Rogers, sister-in-law Lisa Rogers, stepbrother and sister-in-law Dave and Amy Hawkins.  Scott is preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Tony Rogers and his stepson Chad Walker.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at The Chapel, located on the Cross School Campus, 491 Buckwalter Parkway, Bluffton, SC.
