Seth Eric Shalov

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce that Seth Shalov, 63, passed away on October 4th 2023. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Parvathi Shalov (Prabhakar), his children, Holden Shalov (Katherine), Jacob Shalov (Korinn), and Sam Shalov. He was a loving grandfather to Elias Shalov and Hudson Shalov. He is also survived by his brother, Adam Shalov, and sister Felice Engle (Andrew). At the time of his death Seth lived in Bluffton, SC.  Seth was born on November 29, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY. Outside of his family, Seth was a diehard New York sports fan always routing for the Giants and the Mets. Seth spent his entire career in the investment field. He started at First Fidelity, then at Bank of Tokyo where he was Chief Investment Officer, and he spent his last 17 years at MAI Capital Management as Managing Partner. For many people their job is merely a paycheck, but for Seth it was his passion. He considered his clients as friends not just investors. Seth always believed in sharing his knowledge and would take the time to teach or mentor friends and new associates. Seth will be remembered for his classic dad-jokes, his love of unsweetened Iced tea, and his uncanny ability to put anyone at ease.
