Sharon Roberta Mannino

September 03, 1944 – May 5, 2022

Sharon Roberta Mannino passed away peacefully on May 5, 2022 with her husband and children by her side.  She was 77.  She will be remembered for her beautiful blue-green eyes, her love for tennis, her appreciation of travel, her joy for cooking for others, and especially, for her love of family and friends.  She had an incredible wit and sense of humor, and would light up a room with her smile and laugh.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 56 years, Nino Mannino, her children Michele Steger (Kurt),  Lauren Mayr (John) and Matthew Mannino (Liz), her seven grandchildren (Danielle Steger, Hope Steger, Sara Steger, Adam Steger, Monica Mayr, Ryan Mannino and Lily Mannino), and her brother (Charles Betheil).

Sharon was born to Harry and Bea Betheil and raised in the Bronx, NY.  She married Nino on June 13, 1965 in NYC, and they moved to Kingston in 1967.  She then moved to Cary, NC in 1979, where she raised her family.  Sharon retired to Bluffton, SC in 2003 where she enjoyed her retirement with Nino and lived out her life.
