Sherman Loyd of Eagle's Pointe Community passed away on June 2nd, 2021 with his wife Charlene at his side. Born in Telford, Tennessee, he served 18 years in the United States Marine Corp where he earned two Purple Hearts for his service in Korea. He later worked over 30 years in Hospitality all over the United States finally settling in South Carolina.
Sherman is survived by his wife, Charlene Click, four daughters, Lynn, Joan, Suellen and Ann of Framingham, MA. Brother Harold Loyd of Jonesborough, TN, and sisters Sue Ferguson of Gray, TN and Norma Hillyer of Greeneville, TN. He had seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and extended family. Adam and Amy Mefford and their children Mason, Charlotte, and Shadow, as well as many, many friends. A heartfelt thank you to Tonya Barnes and Krista Kathman with THA Group for their years of dedicated, loving care.
Sherman never met a stranger and enjoyed engaging with others to share his humorous life stories. He loved entertaining, music, reading and culture.
