Sidney Raymond Putnam (Vietnam War-Navy) On November 15, 2016, Sidney Raymond Putnam of Bluffton, SC moved to heaven to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Sid was born in New Castle, PA on March 25th, 1948 to Harriet Phipps Putnam and Raymond Boyd Putnam. In 1977 Sid was born again when he accepted Christ as his personal Saviour. From that moment he devoted his life in telling others that the only way to heaven was by believing that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Sid is survived by his loving, devoted wife of forty-one years (Carol S. Putnam), four children (Shawn, Christopher, Jennifer and Bryan), five grandchildren (Andrew-17, Ryder-11, Noah-10, Shelby-8 and River-8), and sister- Sharon Sager, brother in law-David Sager and nephew-Matthew Sager of Bucks County, PA. He worked for Prime, Inc in the reefer division until his retirement in February 2016. He lived a full life with every moment devoted to his family. He loved golfing with his sons, drag racing with his daughter, cruising with his wife, hitting the open road with his boy, Andrew and visiting his sister/family in Pennsylvania. He was a funny, loving, caring husband and father who will be immensely missed until the day we all meet again Sid’s celebration of life will be held at Cornerstone Church (1300 May River Road, Bluffton, SC) on December 10th, 2016 at 11:00am. **Sidney wished that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cornerstone Church care of the missions ministry, as his heart was always for the lost!**
