On Friday, February 5, 2021, Stephen (Steve) E. Becker, loving father of three children, passed away suddenly at the age of 65 in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Steve was born on December 21, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA to Russell and Edmonda “Bunny” (Donovan) Becker. Steve and Alice lived in the suburban Philadelphia area before finally settling in Harleysville, PA. While in Harleysville, Steve was active in several organizations including the Lions Club, Harleysville Youth Baseball Association, and the Souderton Harleysville Youth Basketball Association. A life-long baseball umpire, Steve always took pride in the accuracy of his strike zone, even when it meant issuing walks to batters when his sons were on the mound.
Steve also loved animals and was a generous donor to various animal welfare organizations. A passionate Philadelphia sports fan his whole life, Steve was an ardent Phillies and Eagles fan and especially relished the Eagles victory over the Patriots in the 2018 Super Bowl.
