Susan Ann Taylor Self was born in Savannah, GA on August 15, 1956. Susie attained a degree in Early Childhood Education and enjoyed many years of nurturing and teaching children. Susie’s hobbies were cooking, reading, craft making, floral arranging, and listening to music, especially rock and country from the 60’s and 70’s.
Susie was preceded in death by her brother Steven Mobley. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 43 years, Daniel Self, one loving son and daughter, Steven Self and Tiffanee Self both of Hardeevile, SC, one sister, Phyllis Pinion (Donnie) of Pritchardville, SC, one niece, Sara Redmond of Weaver, AL, two nephews, Heath Pinion of Pritchardville, SC and Shawn Lee Redmond McClellan of Weaver, AL, one aunt, Katie Greenwood of Panama City, FL, also several cousins and many lifelong friends.
She dedicated her life to her family and friends. Susie had a strong faith in God, and an immeasurable amount of love for Jesus which sustained and strengthened her commitment and love for all she knew.
A celebration of her life will take place at a later date on her most favorite beach, Tybee Island. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Tybee Island Memorial Park.
