Sue Mason passed away on Saturday 2 May 2020 at Benton House, Bluffton, after a short illness.
She was born on 31 March 1939 to the late Herbert and Elsie Bowden and grew up on a farm in a small village, Brimpton, in the South of England. She had 3 sisters and a brother.
After leaving school she worked in London and then worked in Libya where she met her late husband, Jim Mason. She settled in Dallas, Texas. She worked for many years as a PA to Dr Arthur Sagalosky at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
She retired to Sun City in 2002 where she enjoyed many happy years, particularly enjoying the birding club and her photography. She was an active member of The Church of the Cross in Bluffton and enjoyed showing visitors around the historic building. She also helped out regularly at God’s Goods Thrift Store.
She will be fondly missed by her son, Andrew, and friends in the US as well as her family in the UK and Australia: her brother and two surviving sisters, her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to God's Goods Thrift Store, P.O. Box 3334 Bluffton SC 29910.
