Vernard "Allen" Moore

Vernard Allen Moore (Allen) passed away at the age of 82 at his home in Bluffton, South Carolina on May 12, 2021. 

Allen was CEO and owner of Hale-Justice Pharmaceutical company located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  After his retirement, he and his wife, Judy, relocated from Covington, Kentucky to Hilton Head Island and later to Bluffton, South Carolina.  He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Hilton Head where he served as a deacon for many years.

Allen is survived by his beloved wife, Judy and three children Linda Ball (Tim) of Latonia, Kentucky; Sean Allen Moore of Taylor Mill, Kentucky; Michael Anthony Moore of New Richmond, Ohio; and, one grandchild, whom he adored, Savanah Becknell (Blake) of Savannah, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 17, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Hilton Head, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  Burial will be in Covington, Kentucky on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.  Except for all family members, burial will be private.

Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Pastor Brett Myers, of First Baptist Church of Hilton Head are handling funeral arrangements for the family.  Burial arrangements are being handled by Swindler & Currin Funeral Home of Covington, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Hilton Head, 100 S. Forest Beach Drive, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina 29928.
