Veronica "Ronnie" Thompson Stolzer

Veronica “Ronnie” Thompson Stolzer, 70, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Lansdale, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 7, 2023 after a tough and relentless battle with lung cancer. Ronnie’s courage and love of life was evident during her last weeks of life. Her will to overcome whatever obstacle was thrown in her way solidified her faith, hope, and commitment to her strong belief in God. She is survived by her husband, Tom, of 38 years and her son, Tommy, her precious pride and joy.

Born January 17, 1953 in Philadelphia, Ronnie was the daughter of the late Edwin and Veronica (Parr) Thompson.  She attended St. Athanasius Elementary School in West Oak Lane and was a 1971 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School. Shortly after the birth of their son, the family moved to Harleysville, PA where Ronnie worked as a Library Processor in the North Penn School District at Inglewood Elementary School. After their retirement, she and her husband moved to Bluffton, SC. 

Ronnie’s wonderful attitude towards life was infectious. She had a natural ability to brighten any room with her beautiful and joyous spirit. Her loving compassion and kindness to others will always be remembered and cherished by those who knew and loved her.  Ronnie served the parishioners of Corpus Christi Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister. She had a deep compassion for those afflicted with end-of-life illnesses and was a volunteer for Grand View Hospital visiting patients in Hospice care. She had a huge and loving heart toward all furry canine friends. She leaves behind two rescue Labradors, Midnight and Thumper. She had a love of our country and the brave military men and women who served. 

Friends and family may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements in Lansdale, PA.

Her interment and a second ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held at Saint Gregory the Great, Bluffton, SC with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 and a Funeral Mass at 10:30.  Interment will follow in Resurrection Garden.   Sauls Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements in Bluffton, SC.
