Weldon Foye Vaughn, also known as Scotty, passed away on November 15, 2023, at the age of 65 in Bluffton, SC. Born on June 21, 1958, in Akron, Ohio, Scotty was a sweet and kind soul who was loved by many. He was a hard worker and dedicated many years to his career at Weaver Industries. Scotty was known for being his own man, and his independent spirit endeared him to everyone who knew him.
In his youth, Scotty was part of the Special Olympics, showcasing his determination and resilience. He had a deep love for music, particularly the Beatles and The Monkees, and would listen to their songs all day long. Scotty's passion for music was a significant part of his life. Movies was a favorite pastime also. Godzilla was his favorite.
Scotty will be remembered by his surviving family members, including his brother, William Allen Vaughn, and his sister, Patricia Shenosky. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Lessie and Father, William Foye Vaughn, sisters, Sheila Hyer and Jeannie Watts.
Throughout his life, Scotty found solace and strength in his faith. He was a lifelong member of the Baptist Temple, where he worshipped and found spiritual guidance.
As per Scotty's request, a unique ceremony will be held to honor his memory. He will be taken out to sea, a reflection of his awe and appreciation for the ocean, which he experienced for the first time last year. This ceremony will be a fitting tribute to Scotty's adventurous spirit and love for nature.
Scotty Vaughn will be deeply missed by his friends, colleagues, and loved ones. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy will be cherished for years to come.
